Development of automated segmentation and analysis methods for the determination of morphological and functional features from medical images of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Emphases are:

Development of appropriate methods for localization and segmentation of relevant structures as well as tissue classification by means of Machine Learning (ML), including Random Forests and Deep Learning
Consideration of implicit / explicit model information to support the ML algorithms
Quantitative and qualitative analysis of the obtained structures
