Registration procedure and organizational information (Link)
The teamwork is offered for both the Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and the Master's degree program in Medical Technology (only specialization "Imaging Techniques and Sensor Signal Processing in Medical Technology"). For the master's degree in medical technology, the notes at the end of the page must be observed!
Please note that for the participation in the team work a registration is absolutely necessary! Proceed as described under "Registration and organizational information". In addition, you must still register the teamwork with the Examinations Office, so that your successful participation can be recorded.
In teamwork at the ISS, ECG signals are analyzed and displayed.
It works with the program package Matlab. It is therefore recommended that at least one participant in each group has Matlab skills, such as those taught in our introduction to Matlab.

On the date of issue, the groups will be presented with their task. The solution of the task has to be done independently as far as possible. The division of tasks within the group, the organization of the work process, etc. is also done by the group members themselves. At the end the groups briefly present their solutions, demonstrate the function and briefly explain the essential ideas of their solution. Each group summarizes all essentials in writing.

Special (additional) information for the master's program Medical Engineering:

- If you have not chosen the specialization "Imaging Techniques and Sensor Signal Processing in Medical Technology", this teamwork is not suitable for you!
Contrary to what is said on the above linked pages for the bachelor program Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, you are not free in the choice of teamwork. The different team work has different examiners and module numbers, so they are not interchangeable. You must do the internship or teamwork that is designed for your specialization subject. See, for example, the entries in the LSF. - For the specialization "Imaging Techniques and Sensor Signal Processing in Medical Technology", there are two internships to choose from at the time of writing these notes. One of these is the teamwork "ECG Signals".
- You must sign up for this team work. Since the space is limited, you should register as early as possible. Proceed as described under "Registration and organizational information". Then select the team work topic that corresponds to your specialization subject, e.g. "ECG signals".
- You may also find it helpful to join a matlab introductory course. For you (as for all members of faculties 4 and 7) the offer of the IST is planned, cf. the website of IST (search on the site for "Matlab").
- The teamwork will be offered in this form for the last time in the summer semester 2017. From 2018 there will be a new internship for medical technicians, which i.a. Image segmentation will be the topic.
